Program Overview
Our midwifery program is designed to align with the standards of the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC). Combining theory with hands-on experience, the curriculum covers all aspects of maternal and newborn care, from prenatal to postnatal support. The program emphasizes safe childbirth practices, patient education, and community health engagement, equipping students to serve in both clinical and community settings

  • Maternal and Newborn Care
    Equip students with the skills to provide holistic, evidence-based care for mothers and newborns, including prenatal care, labor and delivery support, and postnatal care.

  • Patient Education and Health Promotion
    Train students to educate mothers and families on health, nutrition, family planning, and preventive care, empowering communities to make informed health decisions.

  • Professionalism and Compassion
    Instill a strong sense of empathy, ethical responsibility, and professionalism, teaching students to offer respectful and culturally sensitive care.

  • Emergency Preparedness
    Prepare students to respond effectively to obstetric emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mothers and infants in critical situations.
